Shifts: Both Day and Night Shifts Available
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate NICU/Level II Special Care Nursery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care for newborns in a Level II Special Care Nursery. The ideal candidate will have expertise in neonatal care, respiratory support, feeding assistance, and newborn stabilization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to newborns 32 weeks and above in a Level II Special Care Nursery.
- Monitor, assess, and support infants requiring High-Flow Oxygen, CPAP, Enteral Feedings, and IV Therapy.
- Implement Eat, Sleep, Console (ESC) protocols for neonatal withdrawal management.
- Initiate and manage IV starts for neonatal patients.
- Participate in the stabilization of newborns and provide critical care as needed.
- Attend and assist in high-risk deliveries, ensuring immediate and appropriate neonatal interventions.
- Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, lactation consultants, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Educate and support parents regarding newborn care, feeding, and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.
Required Certifications & Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License (WA or Compact State)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- S.T.A.B.L.E. Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (AHA)
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years of NICU/Level II Special Care Nursery experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of neonatal respiratory support (High-Flow, CPAP).
- Experience with IV starts, enteral feedings, and newborn stabilization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond effectively to emergencies.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills.
