Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Rio Rancho, NM
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a 5-week contract in Rio Rancho, NM. This position guarantees 36 hours per week on a day shift schedule, specifically working Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. The CNA will provide vital patient care and support, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
- Monitor and document patients’ vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate.
- Report changes in patients' physical or emotional conditions to the nursing team promptly.
- Ensure patients’ rooms and common areas are clean, organized, and sanitized.
- Assist with patient positioning, transfers, and transportation as needed.
- Support nursing staff in delivering high-quality care and following care plans.
- Adhere to safety and infection control procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Licensure:
- Active and unencumbered CNA certification in the state of New Mexico.
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (American Heart Association or equivalent) – Required.
- Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of recent CNA experience, preferably in a long-term care, rehabilitation, or acute care setting.
Schedule and Duration:
- Shift: Day shift (Thursday, Friday, Sunday).
- Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week.
- Duration: 5 weeks.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
