Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse to join our team for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of recent PCU experience in an 18 bed telemetry/progressive care unit. This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Important Notice:
✅ 75-Mile Straight Line Radius Rule Applies (Local travelers within a 75-mile radius are not eligible).
✅ Previous travel nursing experience required (must have completed at least one 13-week travel assignment).
Shift Details:
- Night shift (12 hours) – 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Weekends: Minimum of 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
- Float Requirements: Travelers are the first to float within the facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of the assigned location. Must be willing to float to all areas in which they are trained, including the Emergency Department (ED) and PresNow ED/UC (freestanding urgent/emergent care facilities).
- On-call, weekends, and holidays may be required.
Required Certifications & Experience:
- Active RN license (must meet state requirements)
- Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required (Must be from AHA, American Health & Safety, or American Red Cross)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Required (AHA, American Health & Safety, or American Red Cross)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) – Required
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia/Dysrhythmia (BCA) Assessment – Required (Must pass before or during the first week of assignment. Failure to pass will result in dismissal.)
Orientation:
- First-week orientation (up to 40 total hours) – includes EPIC training.
Scrub Requirements:
- Scrubs are required but not provided by the facility.
