Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Utilization Management (UM) team in Hadley, MA. This is a full-time position offering 40 guaranteed hours per week on the day shift for a 9-week contract. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for improving patient outcomes through effective utilization management.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct utilization reviews and ensure appropriate care management for patients.
- Collaborate with physicians, healthcare teams, and insurance providers to ensure optimal care plans.
- Evaluate the medical necessity and appropriateness of services and treatments.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor patient progress and ensure continuity of care throughout the treatment process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Certification Requirements:
- Utilization Management Certification (CPUM) or similar UM certification preferred.
- Case Management Certification (CCM) or eligibility to obtain within 6 months of hire, preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Previous experience in Utilization Management or a similar clinical setting preferred.
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to commit to the full 9-week contract and 40 guaranteed hours per week.
