What are the responsibilities and job description for the Big Data Developer position at Swift?
The Swift Group is looking for a Big Data Developer who will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a Big Data Developer joining our team to support the development of systems and capabilities centered on our comprehensive motion imagery software suite. This person will focus on ensuring the mission is met while upgrading to cutting-edge technologies in full motion video (FMV) of the programs technical vision. This position is located in Tysons, VA.
Required Qualifications :
- 8 years of relevant work experience.
- Skilled at applying and executing highly advanced technologies, principles, theories and concepts
- Willing to learn in one discipline / field and developing working knowledge in adjacent disciplines / fields
- Proficient understanding and application of engineering principles, concepts, practices, and standards
- Use JIRA to manage daily, sprint, and increment metrics, performance, and backlogs
- Experience with the following languages : Java (AOP, IOC), Javascript, React / Redux, AngularJS, SQL, NoSQL, Graph, C
- Experienced in Microservice API development and integration (gRPC / REST)
- Manage communication endpoints in gRPC or REST
- REST based service level integration, API negotiation, Threading and Load Balancing
- Heavily use ETL concepts and engines to decouple solutions
- Apache NIFI experience
- Creating and maintaining orchestration templates, modifying templates provided from unclassified teams into classified space
- GraphDB, SQL and NoSQL data modeling / visualization / querying
- BA / BS Degree or five additional years' experience in lieu of a degree
- US Citizenship and an active TS / SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
