The Swift Group is looking for a Database Engineer . This candidate will lead the design, implementation and testing of a complex data infrastructure in support of our customer needs. This candidate will work with network, systems, and application engineers to manage the database engineering and administration of systems for complex and high-volume data processing infrastructure. They will use a variety of ingest methods and data management techniques, which includes a variety of data types, database functionality, compliance standards and availability requirements. This individual will work closely with the customer; project managers; and engineers to facilitate communication to all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with cross-functional team of software engineers, data scientists, analysts, project managers and other engineers to support a high volume and complex data system
- Assist with the design of network architectures based on customer data requirements and industry best practices
- Provide recommendations on how best to support ongoing maintenance and enhancements of data systems and platforms
- Development of unique solutions that will meet customer requirements and industry best practices
- Provide recommendations for continuous improvement
- Write and update technical documentation such as data system documentation
Required Qualifications :
8 years of related experience in database engineering and administration of systems for complex and high-volume data processing, using a variety of ingest methods and data management techniques2 years' experience designing, installing, administrating, upgrading, patching, and performance tuning Oracle databasePerforming all aspects in the lifecycle of database engineering and administration, including design to meet customer needs, install, deploy, data migration, maintenance, backup / recovery, patch, and upgradeDatabase security analysis and vulnerability remediation processOracle engineered systems such as Exadata, Big Data, MiniCluster or SuperClusterManaging database systems in conjunction with datastore systems in high availability, system redundancy environmentsCurrent and practical expertise using Oracle PL / SQL, SQL, SQLPlus and SQL DeveloperExtensive experience in : database architecture, design, and processing models as well as extensive experience with data architecture, modeling, and management in a broad spectrum of data repository environments, such as data warehouse, on-line transaction processing and hybridManagement includes a variety of data types, database functionality, compliance standards and availability requirementsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work / military experienceUS Citizenship and an active TS / SCI with Polygraph security clearance requiredDesired Qualifications :
