Swift Navigation is seeking a talented Staff Cloud Platform Engineer with a focus on cloud infrastructure to join our dynamic team. As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of the cloud infrastructure powering Swift's cutting-edge navigation solutions. This role requires advanced technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of cloud technologies to ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our platform.

Responsibilities :

• Cloud Infrastructure Design and Implementation : Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure solutions. Ensure alignment with business goals and industry best practices.
• Technical Leadership : Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the cloud engineering team, guiding them in architecture decisions, best practices, and troubleshooting complex issues.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Automation : Automate deployment, configuration, and management processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Cloud Operations and Optimization : Oversee day-to-day cloud operations, monitoring system performance, and optimizing resource utilization. Implement cost-saving measures and strategies for efficient resource allocation.
• Security and Compliance : Ensure cloud environments adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements. Implement and maintain security controls, conduct regular audits, and respond to security incidents promptly.
• High Availability and Disaster Recovery : Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions to ensure business continuity. Conduct regular testing and optimization of disaster recovery plans.
• Capacity Planning and Scaling : Monitor resource usage trends and forecast capacity requirements. Develop scaling strategies to accommodate growing workloads and ensure optimal performance.
• Collaboration and Communication : Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software development, operations, and security, to align cloud infrastructure with business needs. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates and gather requirements.
• Continuous Improvement : Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies, best practices, and industry trends. Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance cloud infrastructure efficiency, reliability, and security.
• Incident Response and Troubleshooting : Lead incident response efforts during critical incidents, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures to mitigate future occurrences. Provide technical guidance and support to resolve complex technical issues.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $135,000 - $198,000 equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
