What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Clerk position at Swig HQ?
In this role, Swig will look to you to manage our AP projects. Your experience will be needed to maintain seamless operations for our stores, build strong relationships, and maintain data integrity. To be successful in this role you must be organized, dependable, and have strong attention to detail.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Thoroughly review, code, and process vendor invoices in a timely manner
- Perform monthly reconciliations to ensure that all transactions are properly recorded and addressed
- Maintain the integrity of company process and policies, utilizing a high understanding of expense accounts and cost centers
- Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies, working with vendors and internal department to resolve quickly
- Address and respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status, invoice discrepancies, and account information
- Assist accounting team with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
- Preparing and maintaining Excel spreadsheets
- Understanding of payments, accounting, and budgeting
- Work with teams on the timely submission and approval of corporate expense reports
- Review corporate card transactions for accuracy and work with teams to resolve discrepancies
- Review and process vendor payments
What You’ll Bring to the Role
- High School Diploma
- General Accounting or Data Entry Experience
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy of invoice processing
- Ability to identify and address discrepancies or issues and find resolutions, all while meeting timelines
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks to maintain business operations without disruption
- Excellent customer service to both external vendors and internal customers to address needs promptly and professionally
- Demonstrated ability to learn
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer proficiency, including MS Office and Google applications
