What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Systems Analyst position at Swig HQ?
We seek a highly skilled and motivated Business Systems Analyst to be the technical subject matter expert for several critical systems within our organization. These systems include the Point of Sale (POS), Labor and Applicant Management System/HRIS, Learning Management System (LMS), and Supply Chain Management/Inventory System. This role will ensure these systems meet organizational needs, manage vendor relationships, and collaborate with internal business leaders to optimize system functionality.
This role is based out of Sandy, Utah.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- System Ownership
- Act as the technical subject matter expert for assigned systems, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with business objectives.
- Evaluate system capabilities and recommend enhancements or replacements where necessary.
- Act as a contact for business users when system issues arise.
- Vendor Management
- Manage relationships with external vendors to ensure service quality, timely support, and alignment with contractual agreements.
- Coordinate with vendors on system upgrades, troubleshooting, and feature implementations.
- Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with business leaders and stakeholders to understand organizational requirements and translate them into system solutions.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure systems support business processes effectively.
- System Optimization
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with security standards and organizational policies.
- Documentation & Training
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including user guides, process workflows, and training materials.
- Provide training and ongoing support to end-users to enhance system adoption and efficiency.
- Project Management
- Lead or participate in system implementation projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Manage change requests while minimizing disruption to business operations.
What You’ll Bring to the Role:
- 4 years of experience as an Analyst in Business or Systems roles, including requirements gathering, technical writing, functional specification, and analytics.
- 3 years of proven experience in project management required.
- 3 years of experience in leading change and training initiatives while implementing technical solutions.
- Retail operations or Food Service industry preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Computer Systems or other related field.
- Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Prefer to have experience with Point of Sale, HRIS, Supply Chain, and Learning management systems.
- Exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively between technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating systems and identifying areas for improvement.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
