Position Overview:
The role of the Regional Sales Specialist is to build strong wholesale customer relationships and grow sales as set forth by Swig utilizing phone calls, emails and virtual meetings as the primary communication method. The Wholesale Account/Sales Specialist should be talented, focused and competitive with a desire to drive sales and play a fundamental role in achieving company sales goals. The Wholesale Account/Sales Specialist is a B2B sales position, which requires an individual to work their assigned regions to maintain business with active wholesale customers, pursue leads for new customers and reactivate dormant customers to make Swig products the preferred brand in the industry. The candidate should be self-motivated and work cooperatively with product development, marketing, customer service, operations and management to meet customer needs and company business objectives.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Grow revenues from our direct wholesale customer list via virtual sales (phone calls, email, virtual meetings, etc)
- Develop relationships new, existing and dormant wholesale customers
- Complete required daily sales activities by using appropriate company resources, inbound and/or outbound phone calls, email marketing, programs, virtual meetings, and follow up techniques to generate business opportunities for new, active and dormant accounts consistent with companies expectations
- Research, understand and identify customers' needs and expectations in order to recommend specific product offerings
- Qualify and respond accordingly to incoming leads for the sell products and services
- Communicate product information to wholesale customers
- Stay up to date on industry, market and competitor knowledge
- Create and implement marketing materials and strategies to increase brand loyalty with direct wholesale customers
- Utilize a CRM system and prepare relevant reporting
- Define and develop new direct customer opportunities
- Attend trade shows
- Accountable for meeting/exceeding quarterly and yearly sales goals through customer development and maintenance.
Candidate Requirements:
- 2 year of retail, sales or marketing experience
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Positive and persistent attitude
- Competitive and focused
- Self-motivated and ability to multi-task
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Attendance at trade show events, travel required
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in an office environment in Richmond, VA
