Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting techniques and a strong attention to detail. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on both residential and commercial projects. The Painter will work closely with other tradespeople, including carpenters and handymen, to complete projects efficiently and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or airless paint spraying equipment.
- Restore and maintain existing painted surfaces to ensure longevity and aesthetic appeal.
- Collaborate with carpenters for trim carpentry tasks and assist in fixture installation as needed.
- Perform drywall repairs and ensure smooth finishes prior to painting.
- Execute industrial and construction painting projects with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean work area and properly store tools and materials after use.
- Follow project timelines and communicate effectively with team members regarding progress.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Painter in residential or commercial settings.
- Knowledge of various painting techniques, including airless paint spraying.
- Experience in restoration work is a plus.
- Familiarity with carpentry, drywall installation, masonry, and maintenance person tasks is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good physical condition; ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods.
- Valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
