Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching swimming and promoting water safety among students of all ages. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment, and helping students achieve their swimming goals. This position requires strong communication skills, physical fitness, and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students.
Responsibilities
- Conduct swim lessons for individuals and groups of varying skill levels.
- Develop personalized lesson plans that cater to the needs and abilities of each student.
- Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
- Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing pool rules and regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the swim area.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to create a supportive environment for learning.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to address any issues that may arise during lessons.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Experience
- Previous experience as a swim instructor or in a related field such as physical education or sports coaching is preferred.
- Familiarity with health club environments or gym settings is an advantage.
- Experience working with students in various capacities, including behavior management strategies, is beneficial.
- Knowledge of additional sports such as basketball or karate can enhance teaching techniques and engagement with students.
- Strong swimming skills and the ability to demonstrate various techniques effectively.
