Private Swim Instructor

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Swim Instructor to join our team of instructors for the Summer 2025 season. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in swimming and experience in coaching or teaching children of various ages and skill levels. As a Swim Hamptons Instructor, you will play a crucial role in educating students on swimming techniques, water safety practices, and water confidence while fostering a positive, fun, and engaging learning environment. Our clients locations range from Southampton to Montauk, so you must have a vehicle and be willing to drive to each lesson.

Duties

• Conduct swim lessons for individuals, adapting instruction to meet the needs of each student.
• Teach various swimming strokes and techniques, ensuring students understand proper form and safety techniques.
• Monitor students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
• Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
• Engage with parents or guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns.

Requirements

• Previous experience in swim instruction or coaching/teaching is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of swimming techniques and water safety practices.
• CPR/AED Certified
• Still Water Lifeguard Certified
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate and motivate students effectively.
• Must be patient, enthusiastic, and able to work well with children of all ages.
• Must have a vehicle to get to and from each lesson.
• Must have housing.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: From $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 50 per week
