Job Summary
As the Director of Marketplace eCommerce, you will lead the strategy and execution of our marketplace business. This role requires a data-driven, marketing-savvy leader who can optimize product listings, collaborating on pricing strategies, and drive profitable growth. As we continue to expand our digital presence, we're looking for a Director of Marketplace eCommerce to take ownership of our marketplace channels, including Amazon, with a primary focus on driving growth for our brands.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute marketplace strategies to grow revenue and profitability across Amazon, and other emerging platforms.
- Own end-to-end performance management, including sales forecasting, inventory planning, and promotional strategies.
- Optimize product listings, content, and advertising to drive conversions and marketplace rankings.
- Analyze data and performance metrics to identify growth opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, and product teams to ensure marketplace alignment with overall brand goals.
- Stay current on marketplace trends, policies, and algorithm updates to ensure compliance and competitive positioning.
Qualifications/Requirements
Education: High School Diploma required, bachelor's degree or higher level of education preferred
Experience:
- Experience: 5-7 years leading and scaling a specialty retailer on marketplaces.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to interpret marketplace data, trends, and performance metrics.
- Marketing & Merchandising Expertise: Proven experience in product optimization, pricing strategies, and digital advertising.
- Problem-Solving Mentality: Ability to pivot strategies based on performance and market conditions.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a deadline driven environment with frequent virtual and in-person interaction.
