Swingtech is currently looking to fill an Financial Analyst/ Accountant role. Responsibilities & other details are listed below:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide expert advice on federal accounting requirements, standards, and the implications of new legislation or program initiatives.
- Maintain and operate department-wide financial management and reporting tools to ensure compliance with requirements such as comprehensive cost accounting and integrated financial management.
- Analyze, review, and recommend enhancements for existing financial management systems to optimize performance and compliance.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports, including updates on financial and contractual status, general ledger accounts, quarterly and annual reports, and accounts receivable.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records reflecting the organization's financial status.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures across the agency to ensure consistency and compliance with federal regulations.
- Identify changes in regulations, accounting practices, and operational issues, advising on adjustments needed for efficient fund management and accurate financial reporting.
- Identify key policy issues and priorities, design analytical approaches, evaluate alternative strategies, and present conclusive recommendations to senior management officials.
ELIGIBILITY & QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least five years of federal accounting and financial management experience.
- Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is desired.
- Demonstrated technical accounting knowledge and analytical capabilities
- Attention to detail and ability to resolve financial management issues effectively.
- Possess a business-related four-year degree (B.S. or B.A. in Accounting desired) and be proficient in:
- Must have an active Secret Clearance.
