What are the responsibilities and job description for the REVENUE AUDITOR/SOFT COUNT position at SWINOMISH CASINO & LODGE?
The Revenue Auditor ensures the daily completion of audits for all departments within the casino & lodge. Audits and Reconciles assigned revenue/cost center paperwork promptly to ensure all internal and external regulations are followed and documented. Maintains and archives reports, records, files, books, ledgers, accounts, etc., of the Casino revenue by department, and ensures that all revenue source documents flow through the accounting system to the General Ledger accurately and appropriately. This position will also assist the Soft Count team as needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Learn all procedures, regulations, and computer processes about the various audits as assigned. Demonstrates knowledge of and can learn all audits, including, but not limited to, Slots, Table Games, Cage, Food & Beverage, Hotel, Retail, W2G/1042, Comp, Entertainment, and Marketing Audits.
- Audit and reconcile revenue or cost reported efficiently and promptly.
- Ensure adequate and accurate supporting documentation exists for all transactions and investigations.
- Learn, comprehend, and comply with company/department policies and procedures, MICS, Gaming Regulation, and BSA/AML Title 31 requirements.
- Assist with written and oral communications to operating departments through email, memos, and exception reports. Communicate with operating departments as needed.
- Comply and maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with the company's confidentiality policy.
- Assist with the storage and control of stored data, whether on file, on disc, or hard copy, and its retention for seven years;
- Able to work irregular hours and extended shifts, including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
SOFT COUNT DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Count and confirm gaming and related items as needed.
- Remove and replace drop boxes from machines;
- Sort and count the contents of drop boxes;
- Work with cage staff to verify counts.
- Enter count information into the computer system;
- Assure protection of casino assets;
- Report any suspicious activity to the supervisor.
- Maintain consistent and punctual attendance;
- Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma / GED
- Gaming/Cage experience preferred but not required
- Associate's degree in Accounting, or three (3) years of work experience in auditing, accounting, finance, or a combination of accounting education and accounting, finance, or auditing work experience that totals three (3) years preferred.
- Office & Computer Skills – A solid working knowledge of the MS Office Suite, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Microsoft Excel to include, but not limited to, formulas, tabs, VLOOKUPs, spreadsheets, and importing/exporting data.
- Ability to be a team player, solve practical problems, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment, both individually and as a team.
- Must pass an entry-level accounting and ten-key critical calculator test if requested.
