What are the responsibilities and job description for the TEAM MEMBER SUPPORT - PART-TIME position at SWINOMISH CASINO & LODGE?
SUMMARY:
The primary function of a Server Support is to cashier and to cater to other casino team members. This person also assists restaurant servers in any task that lends support to the fluidity of the restaurant. This position may require variable work hours including days, evenings and weekends to perform the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Following specific procedure, checks out bank from Cash Cage, counts bank-assuring accuracy, places and locks bank in till. At end of shift/closing, calculates receipts and turns in (blind drop) bank;
- Enters food orders in POS system cash register, accepts payment and makes change. If system is down, manually takes orders and calls them to kitchen;
- Picks up and serves order when it is ready;
- Assists wait staff in specific opening/closing procedures; • Keeps EDR work station clean and stocked
- Throughout day and at end of shift checks break room (including game and quiet room) condiment trays, pop dispensers and ensures they are stocked and replenished at all times. Keeps pop and coffee machines wiped down and supplied per department procedure;
- Immediately and before reporting to work, reports personal illness with any flu-like symptoms or a disease that can be transferred through food to the department manager;
- Practices proper hand washing at all times;
- Contacts department manager or covering shift supervisor prior to ending shift duties;
- At end of shift/closing, restocks and cleans all three Break rooms’ Restocks, cleans and makes wait station presentable;
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Helps in the Café if we are short staffed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Working knowledge of money handling and the ability to calculate sales and change in a fast-paced atmosphere required.
- Must have a pleasant personality, mature judgment, people and public relations skills and a thorough knowledge of and experience in restaurant service.
- Must be self-motivated as well as trainable and have a willingness to learn and adapt to change.
- Must have a working knowledge of Point of Sale operations.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other team members of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Current Health Card, Tips Card within sixty days of employment if deemed necessary for your position and a Mixologist card for alcohol service when working in the Café.
