Job Summary: The Local Outside Sales/Account Manager is responsible for growing and managing a portfolio of accounts, with a focus on SG Advantage software, consulting, and expert sales. This role requires a blend of sales expertise, account management, and leadership in snow removal operations.
Duties shall include, but are not limited to:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of accounts, with a focus on larger clients
- Lead SG Advantage software sales, as well as consulting and expert services
- Maintain key accounts from previous experience as a Jr. Account Manager/Inside Sales
- Handle incoming leads and convert them into new business
- Focus on expanding business through both existing and new client relationships
- Act as an area manager or hub associate during winter weather events
Work Hours:
- Typical work hours are Monday – Friday from 7:45AM – 5:00PM
- Hours may vary before, during, or after winter weather events
Compensation:
- Commission Draw Bonus Pool Member
- Unlimited Commission on non-subscription sales
- Subscription sales commissions for 24 months
Required Knowledge / Skills / Job Qualifications:
- Proven sales and account management experience with large accounts
- Ability to strategically grow a business portfolio while maintaining existing relationships
- Ability to generate non-house accounts with gross margins at least 2 times base salary
- If hired directly into the role, must have managed accounts with gross margin of 2.5 times base salary in previous position
- Familiarity with Apple computers and operating systems
Education and Formal Training Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree, or demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communication without writing software
- Certified Snow Professional (CSP) certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire)
Minimum Experience:
- 5 years account manager experience in the snow and ice management industry
- 10 years in-field experience in the snow and ice management industry
