Swipejobs is hiring a General Laborer for a Lumber Warehouse in Cleveland, GA. Pay is $18/hr. Hours are Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-2:00am.
General Responsibilities
· Inspects lumber pieces to ensure quality
· Uses a staple gun
· Bands, bundles, and secures material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks
· Follows instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements
· Ensures correct quantities and material are strapped, labeled before leaving the work area
· Maintains accurate inventory of tags and reports any problems or discrepancies to supervisor
· Records production on production sheets
· Maintains a clean and organized work area
· Assists with other work areas by moving material, loading, and unloading material carts
· Participates in safety, CI and other programs
· Performs other duties as required
Job Responsibilities
· Load and offload lumber products to/from machinery and verify material meet customer requirements and company expectations
· Move and secure lumber products and other materials according to instructions
· Stack finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements
· Label material based on the following specifications: type, size, and count
· Apply individual tags to material before/after treating/production
· Cut lumber to size using a chop saw
· Perform all jobs using the excel production list provided daily
