Position Summary: The General Parts Cleaner is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing of all drums, buckets, small stainless-steel parts, drum lids, bucket lids, hoses, carts, and small parts as stated in Swiss American CDMO Standard Operating Procedures and other duties assigned by the Sanitation Manager/Supervisor/Team Leader
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Properly clean and sanitize drums, buckets, drum/bucket lids, following the Standard Operating Procedure set by Swiss American CDMO.
- Properly clean and sanitize stainless steel hoses and piping following the Standard Operating Procedure set by Swiss American CDMO.
- Properly clean and sanitize stainless steel clamps and other small parts following the Standard Operating Procedure set by Swiss American CDMO.
- Remove trash and debris from cleaning room and transition area on a per shift basis or when needed throughout the shift.
- Document all information in the Cleaning Logbook and attach a cleaning tag to equipment when applicable.
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the Cleaning Room. Minimize any standing water on the floor, clean and sanitize the stainless-steel sinks and framework, walls, and carts that have the machines, machine parts, pipe racks, air pumps and any other ancillary equipment.
- Re-sanitize equipment including the machines and machine parts, air pumps, piping, and ancillary equipment once the “Use by Date and time” has expired.
- Communicate any and all issues that may be present during or after performing job tasks to Sanitation leadership.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical environment is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand safety instructions and work orders.
- Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve minor issues independently.
