Responsibilities
LEAD OLDER TODDLER JOB DESCRIPTION
Student to teacher ratio - 8:1
The Older Toddler Teacher shall be responsible for the following:
Work with assigned group of toddlers applying best practices for toddler care.
Facilitate and nurture the development of each child’s self-esteem, trust and growing autonomy
Respond quickly to children’s different and personal needs (verbal and non-verbal cues), temperament styles and abilities
Document individual needs, strengths, interests, attendance, and complete daily report for each child via our digital program Bright Wheel.
Plan and implement lesson plan activities that are developmentally appropriate
Prepare materials that are concrete and relevant to the children’s education including preparing your own weekly curriculum for the class.
Prepare the toddler learning environment for children to learn through active exploration and interaction with adult caregivers.
Use BrightWheel to input daily activites each child does including diaper changes and nap times.
Perform daily closing duties in room such as cleaning all toys, sweep, mop, and take out trash.
Other duties assigned.
The usual customary methods of performing the job functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and some fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires sitting, walking and standing.
Qualifications
HS Diploma or GED
Background check
Reliable transportation and flexible schedule
Bilingual preferred
CPR/First aid training preferred
