WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING :
The Marketing Manager drives Marketing & Communications strategy for the Swissôtel Chicago, with the goal of enhancing the image of the hotel, ensuring quality media coverage, and maximizing revenue. Working closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing and Revenue at the hotel, this role builds strategic public relations plans, targeted campaigns, and social media content to drive consumer awareness and preference, while focusing on showcasing and supporting the hotel’s internal clients (Food and Beverage, Spa, Special Events, Sales, etc.) to local, regional, national and international media and consumers. The position will build partnerships with all related tourism divisions, as well as Accor brand teams. This role acts as the spokesperson for the hotel when internal partners are unavailable; provides crisis communications assistance; and ensures all public information is current and displayed correctly, including brand and property level web sites. Overall success will be measured by how effectively leveraged the resources around them are to create truly compelling marketing and communications campaigns as well as year-over-year growth in all key metrics – social media engagement, web site statistics, and campaign revenues.
Public Relations and Visual Asset Management
- Develops a comprehensive PR plan per quarter, including group, leisure and local efforts, and executes post sign-off from the Director of Sales & Marketing
- Develops, implements, and manages all brand programs and campaigns, in coordination with the Swissôtel corporate office in Paris and the PME office in Sao Paula; fully communicates all campaigns to the property operations teams; develops tracking and reports on the metrics, assessing success
- Communicates with property Revenue team to develop need period calendar, creates campaigns for each, and analyzes the ROI and areas for improvement :
