Job Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing civil construction projects from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and coordination of civil construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Determine necessary resources (Client, equipment, and materials) while adhering to budgetary limitations.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to define project specifications.
- Monitor and enforce safety procedures, regulatory compliance, and quality control standards.
- Review and approve project documentation, including contracts, RFIs, change orders, and progress reports.
- Plan construction operations and intermediate phases to meet deadlines.
- Supervise laborers, mechanics, and other workers, providing guidance when necessary.
- Provide regular updates on project status and progress to senior management, architects, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards, reporting any issues as they arise.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing large-scale civil projects.
- Strong understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
- Familiarity with quality standards and health and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Experience with construction/project management software (Procore preferred; familiarity with Foundation, Bid 2 Win, and Trimble is a plus).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Leadership qualities and team player mindset.
- PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
