Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Director of Risk Management, the Patient Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing systems and processes to ensure the safety of patients. The Patient Safety Manager plays a critical role in supporting and sustaining the reduction of medical errors and adverse patient outcomes. A primary focus is to ensure a safe environment for patients while empowering and educating staff on best practices in safety and risk management.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree - Nursing or Healthcare related field.
- Within 30 days of hire: California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization
- Five years: Acute care hospital.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree - Nursing or Healthcare related field.
- Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) upon hire.
- 2 years - Patient safety experience.
