Position Summary
- Oversee construction projects, including new facility development, additions, expansions, renovations, or alterations.
- Develop entry-level project budgets and schedules, making assignments based on contractor/vendor skills and overseeing project progress.
- Coordinate resources, ensuring timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Lead project responsibilities for team members throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop conceptual estimates independently using preliminary design documents and available information.
- Support Project Managers in reviewing contractor change proposals, material substitutions, and value engineering solutions.
- Maintain and update a cost database, utilizing historical project costs to inform future planning and vendor identification.
- Assist in preparing bid packages, reviewing contractor bids, and ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, engineers, and relevant authorities to integrate project objectives, schedules, and budgets.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in construction/project management with a focus on cost estimates for new construction, renovations, and infrastructure projects.
- Proficient in utilizing cost estimation tools like RS Means.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Project Management software and financial accounting systems.
- Knowledge of tools like Procore, Smartsheet, and MS Project is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Writer, Visio, etc.).
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of management experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience within the construction industry.
