Monitor and investigate compliance status, providing training and recommendations to management and operations personnel. This position may lead EP professionals and staff.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Communicate and implement EP program policies and strategies within assigned facilities.
- Serve as EP contact regarding incident notifications, environmental issues, permit applications, and expansion projects across water, air, and waste regulatory frameworks.
- Identify local, state, and federal regulatory impacts to operations and provide compliance support by investigating findings, preparing documentation, and coordinating action plans.
- Plan, organize, and secure environmental permits and other regulatory approvals.
- Develop, coordinate, and oversee field EP testing, investigations, assessments, and provide guidance involving petroleum products, leachate, landfill gas, wastewater, stormwater, and groundwater.
- Provide budget input for EP-related projects.
- Offer technical and project direction to consultants and internal staff for EP program execution and issue resolution.
- Coordinate, prepare, and deliver EP training to facility staff.
- Maintain EP data tracking systems and provide related reporting.
- May include providing input on employee performance, promotions, training, work assignments, and disciplinary matters. Final decisions are made at the discretion of senior EP management.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree, or in lieu of a degree, high school diploma or GED and four (4) years of relevant experience.
- Seven (7) years of relevant work experience in environmental protection.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance.
- Ability to wear a respirator and Level C personal protective equipment.
- Proficiency in MS Office and communication platforms.
- Familiarity with statistical methods.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
