Position Summary:
As Global Category Buyer BioProcess Raw Materials, you will play a key role in developing, evolving, and executing strategic sourcing strategies for bioprocess raw materials and single-use technologies, directly contributing to manufacturing and supply chain excellence. You will drive innovation and collaborate seamlessly with strategic partners to ensure supply security, speed to market, the right cost base, and manufacturability for both commercial and pre-launch activities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative category strategies that deliver measurable benefits for the company.
- Negotiate globally and deliver savings by anticipating and consolidating all business needs.
- Lead major transversal category initiatives to establish state-of-the-art sourcing practices and drive innovation.
- Leverage both generative and predictive Artificial Intelligence to enhance sourcing, scenario planning, and results.
- Ensure procurement technical excellence, including TCO, SRM, Market Intelligence, Risk Management, Innovation, Digital, CSR, HSE, compliance, and quality at a global level.
- Manage Global Business Reviews with strategic partners to ensure alignment and execution of goals.
- Directly contribute to significant company revenue and support multiple product launches in the coming years.
- Oversee key account management for strategic suppliers and maintain strong relationships.
About You:
- 5 years of experience in Procurement/Sourcing within Pharmaceuticals, Aerospace, Automotive, or FMCG.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of cost savings achievements.
- Good understanding of raw materials' procurement value chain from R&D to Commercial.
- Solid knowledge of bioprocess suppliers' landscapes and their capabilities.
- Experience in managing complex supplier relationships.
Language Requirements:
- Excellent command of English (required). Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
