Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 2-4 years of maintenance mechanic experience.
- Proficiency in welding, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, and parts specifications.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Effective communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with chemical exposure.
- Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, piping, and electrical systems.
- Operate machine tools such as lathes, grinders, drill presses, and milling machines to repair or fabricate parts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with production and facility equipment to optimize efficiency.
- Identify and address problems, implementing solutions to improve productivity.
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance area, ensuring a safe work environment.
- Utilize maintenance systems to document and track daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
- Safely operate material handling equipment.
- Support predictive and preventative maintenance programs and plant initiatives.
- Participate in safety observations and uphold SQF 2000 Systems standards.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
