Your responsibilities will involve automation work for the commissioning and qualification of new systems, as well as troubleshooting and improving operational performance to ensure seamless plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform automation tasks to complete the commissioning and qualification of new systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to enhance the operational performance of equipment.
- Monitor and troubleshoot running systems to ensure continuous plant operations.
- Develop solutions and generate change records to address recurring issues in automation and production equipment.
- Investigate issues that may affect multiple sites and provide support in resolving them.
- Mentor junior Automation Engineers and assist with troubleshooting.
- Support the creation of user requirements and participate in design reviews for new equipment.
- Review and approve tests generated by Automation and other teams.
- Provide feedback to improve Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and related documentation.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong working knowledge of PLCs and experience with SCADA Systems, Human Machine Interfaces, and thin clients.
- Previous experience troubleshooting complex automation issues to determine root causes.
- Experience in integrating automation controls into factory manufacturing processes.
- Solid track record in integrating electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to serve on a 24/7 rotational on-call support team.
- Experience with change control and good documentation practices.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical problems.
- Familiarity with Rockwell Automation technologies.
- Proven ability to develop automation solutions.
- Experience with servo drives, robotics, vision systems, SCADA, mechatronics, and motion control.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and P&ID drawings.
