Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the production of presentation materials, technical reports, and other planning deliverables (e.g., master plans, neighborhood framework plans, etc.).
- Develop and lead community engagement activities and data collection/analysis.
- Manage project budgets and schedules.
- Develop strategies to promote community and economic development, address housing challenges, promote efficient land use, improve streetscapes and mobility, and advance other community initiatives.
- Collaborate with dynamic teams, including municipalities, developers, architects, landscape architects, engineers, contractors, and community organizations.
- Interpret and apply relevant codes, ordinances, and regulations at local, county, and regional levels.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and fee estimates for potential projects.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members.
- Represent the company at networking events, conferences, public meetings, and within the community.
- Minimum of 4 years of planning experience for Associate Planner or 6 years for Senior Planner.
- Degree in urban or regional planning, urban studies, urban design, architecture, engineering, landscape architecture, geography, or a related field.
- American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification (preferred).
- Strong understanding of planning methodology, research practices, and data collection.
- Familiarity with municipal planning and zoning administration.
- Knowledge of development processes, real estate finance, incentives, and public approval procedures is preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu.
