Title : Systems Administration

Position Description :
The position requires performing duties as a computer systems administrator, domain administrator, network engineer, and systems adviser within a digital forensic lab.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications :
Experience Required :
- Minimum of five years of experience working on comparable projects.
- Previous experience working on government projects is preferred.
Education and Experience Required :
A four-year degree in computer information systems or a related field from an accredited institution, plus two years of computer administration experience in a large (1,000 employee) workforce.Alternatively, a combination of education and experience with a minimum of two years of computer administration experience in a similar environment.Key Responsibilities :
Develop, review, interpret, and proofread comprehensive technical and administrative reports, documents, and manuals.Use system testing applications to identify and address performance, data integrity, communication, and functionality issues.Develop solutions to complex security, networking, systems, and user management issues.Analyze user needs and design appropriate system modifications and infrastructure to meet requirements.Provide expert-level management and configuration solutions for Cisco, Hewlett-Packard, and Mellanox hardware.Provide in-depth knowledge of network hardware and software management, architecture, design, and engineering.Maintain digital backups for the Storage Area Network (SAN) production server.Manage and upgrade domain and file servers.Maintain and troubleshoot the SAN, including updates.Archive and restore case files from the tape library as needed.Set up new domain users and maintain Active Directory.Configure and set up forensic workstations and other hardware.Provide support for servers, SAN, lab network, and client workstations.Collaborate with various workgroups and agencies to address network issues and upgrades.Track software, dongle, and user license expirations and updates.Install and configure hardware and software to meet organizational standards.Maintain antivirus software updates.Collaborate with Certified Forensic Computer Examiners (CFCE) to resolve hardware issues, assist with hardware / software remediation, and help with purchasing hardware.Plan and manage highly technical projects related to networks, information security, and cloud environments.Design and implement complex network architecture and systems.Complete detailed documentation, including network mapping and system configurations.Work independently to achieve lab objectives.Additional Skills :
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to testify in legal proceedings regarding the integrity of servers and data.Flexibility to work nights and weekends depending on the lab's needs.Ability to work onsite in the Phoenix area; remote work is not authorized.Working Conditions :
This is an onsite role with flexible scheduling requirements, including evenings and weekends when necessary.Skills :
