Key Responsibilities
- Manage bridge and road construction projects from start to finish.
- Review project plans, specifications, and other related documents.
- Analyze and interpret project blueprints, drawings, and specifications to accurately estimate material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Prepare take-offs, scope of work, and bid packages for bridge and road construction projects.
- Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain quotes.
- Analyze bid results, prepare detailed proposals, and provide cost estimates for clients.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, from pre-construction to project completion.
- Monitor project progress and communicate with clients, subcontractors, and project team members to meet project goals.
- Develop project leads and coordinate/manage activities such as scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and reports.
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in bridge and road construction project management.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Proven experience in budgeting, scheduling, negotiating, and controlling costs.
- Familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with self-performing or specialty contractors is a plus.
- Experience in sales/marketing is a plus.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proficient in project management software (Procore, Bluebeam).
