The RoleWe're seeking a Technical Account Executive who understands the unique dynamics of public safety and can guide complex projects from initial consultation through successful deployment. This role combines technical sales expertise with project management skills to serve fire departments across North America.
Key ResponsibilitiesDrive the complete project lifecycle: from initial discovery through sales, implementation, and ongoing success
Build and maintain relationships with Fire Chiefs and key public safety decision-makers
Navigate municipal procurement processes and long-term sales cycles
Develop technical proposals and presentations that address specific fire department needs
Manage implementation projects, ensuring smooth deployment and customer satisfaction
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful system integration
Attend industry trade shows and conferences to build relationships and showcase our solutions
Document project progress and maintain accurate records in Salesforce
Provide technical expertise during pre-sales and implementation phases
Experience in public safety, fire service, or military strongly preferred
Understanding of civil service operations and municipal procurement processes
Technical or mechanical aptitude with hardware systems
Background in complex B2B sales with long sales cycles
Strong project management and organizational skills
Comfort with both strategic sales and hands-on implementation
Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Proven track record in relationship based sales, technical sales, or public safety technology
Excellent communication abilities across all levels of organization
Willingness to travel for customer meetings and trade shows
Ability to work independently while contributing to a small, dynamic team
Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems
Competitive base salary starting at $70,000 (commensurate with experience)
