What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator / Bus Bar Operator position at Switchgear Power Systems?
Schedule:
Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm
The Bus Bar Operator will be responsible for overseeing the daily production schedule for the bus bar machine, programming and execution of the parts needed to achieve daily deliverables.
Overall Responsibility
- Able to use measuring equipment: tape measure, caliper, square, protractor, etc.
- Understand mathematics to verify job requirements and specifications.
- Make necessary adjustments to software programs for efficient operation of the equipment.
- Good time management skills
- Hold high quality standards to meet customer specifications.
- Follow company policy and standards.
- Keep work centers clean and orderly.
- Use job data (PO, BOM) to generate material requirements
- Maximize material utilization.
- Accurately document material used for future material needs Keeping track of current inventory levels.
- Troubleshoot issues with equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Program Boschert and Stierli machine via Metalix software, also using Solid Works as needed.
- Operate/run both the Boschert and Stierli to fulfill orders by due dates.
Minimum Requirements
- 3 years Fabrication/Manufacturing experience
- 1 year press brake or turret operation experience
- 1 years CAD/CAM experience preferred but not necessary for any of the following: SigmaNEST, Radan, Ncell, Dr. ABE, Metamation, etc.
- Solid understanding of MS Excel to track upcoming jobs.
- High School Diploma, GED
