Summary
We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant to join our team at Thunder Bay Veterinary Urgent Care. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets, playing a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service while supporting our veterinary staff in providing quality animal care. In this role, you will be cross trained in two positions to help the patients of NE Michigan when they need it most.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival at the clinic.
- Help triage patients alongside an LVT
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain an organized front desk area.
- Assist clients with inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
- Handle client billing and process payments efficiently.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
- Support veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor when interacting with clients.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of animal care practices is a plus.
