The offered position is full time at 35-40 hours/week. Vet assistants will perform numerous and varied duties such as: cleaning, disinfecting, and organizing the hospital, answering phone calls, providing client education, promoting animal health, performing laboratory tests, providing compassionate customer service, and working directly with dogs, cats, and other pets.
Applicant must be physically able to lift 35-40 lbs and handle large and small dogs and cats. Saturday shifts will be required. On job training is provided. Previous experience is appreciated, but not necessary. Ideal applicants will have great communication skills, compassion toward people and animals, and must enjoy learning about animals and veterinary medicine!
