Essential duties include the following :
- Documents and collaborates with product managers, support specialists, trainers, and engineers to produce high-quality technical documentation for our products and services. This could include user guides, technical API documentation, FAQs, system manuals, technical specifications, training materials, and more.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, support, marketing, external partners and other subject matter experts to gather information, understand functionalities required to author high quality documentation that is consistent and accurate.
- Edits, clarifies, and proofreads documents written by others, and coach non-writers on ways to improve their writing skills.
- Performs ongoing updates to existing documentation to ensure they remain accurate and relevant.
- Standardizes and codifies existing documentation.
- Creates quick reference guides.
- Works with managers across multiple business units to identify documentation repositories, revise and edit, and determine best solutions for data compilation and centralized storage.
- Plans, designs, writes, and publishes technical documentation including critical customer user journeys, concepts, how-to guides, and API reference documentation for enterprise customers.
- Advocates for developer-friendly APIs by suggesting improvements in API naming, versioning, error handling, and response formats
- Prepares, reviews, revises, and maintains technical documents, including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation.
- Writes and edits technical documentation for all project hardware and software, including installation, configuration, and how-to documentation.
- Creates code documentation for software; produce implementation guides and end-user guides for capabilities.
- Keeps the API documentation up to date with the latest API releases, changes, and improvements.
