Position Description
A production worker operates shop equipment, puts together and inspects parts, and adheres to all shop safety guidelines and standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Production Worker
· Starts assembly and production machinery at beginning of shift.
· Monitors equipment to ensure that products are being assembled properly.
· Makes sure that workstation is clean and free of hazardous materials.
· Cleans equipment.
· Assembles product parts by hand.
· Uses power tools to drill and attach parts.
· Observes and removes bad material from production.
· Inspects assembled products to ensure they are up to quality standards.
· Affixes labels and other exterior details to products.
· Packs up completed products and prepares them for shipment.
· Keeps shop floor clean.
· Adheres to all safety guidelines in the production and handling of materials in the facility.
· Ensures that all production quotas and deadlines are met.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Demonstrates ability to interpret equipment gauges and monitors on shop equipment.
· Possesses knowledge of the structure and function of production equipment.
· Is able to identify problems or malfunctions with machinery and equipment.
· Demonstrates analytical thinking and problem- solving skills necessary to troubleshoot production issues.
· Pays close attention to detail.
· Exhibits ability to work cautiously but efficiently in potentially hazardous conditions.
· Is familiar with all shop safety procedures and guidelines.
· Demonstrates ability to use power tools safely and effectively.
· Works efficiently and manages time effectively.
· Possesses physical strength and stamina required to stand, walk, and lift for long periods of time.
· Possesses physical dexterity necessary to assemble small and delicate product parts.
· Knowledge of measuring instruments (tape measure, calipers, and micrometers).
Education and Experience
· High school diploma or GED is required.
· Previous experience in manufacturing setting is preferred.
Work Environment
· Standard 40-hour workweek (Monday through Thursday).
· Moderate to heavy physical activity such as walking, and lifting is required daily.
Academic or trade qualifications
· High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Work experience and skills
· 1 years' experience in industrial production environment
· Basic computer skills a plus
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
