What are the responsibilities and job description for the Principal Controls Engineer position at Swoon Staffing (A fortune 500 client of ours)?
Swoon works directly with a leading, global Medical Equipment Manufacturing company, who has several openings for the Principal Controls Engineer (Allen-Bradley)! There are openings for both the regular, and principal level Controls Engineer. We need someone with extensive experience in Allen-Bradley (Rockwell) PLC, and a strong history of controls experience in a manufacturing or packaging/loading system environment.
Location: On-site in Marion, NC. (Generous relocation package provided to those not local!)
Principal Controls Engineer Salary: $120K-$135K base 8% bonus
Start date: ASAP! (January 2024)
Responsibilities:
- Participate in continuous improvement projects
- Conduct technical troubleshooting and executes problem resolution for existing and new equipment/systems
- Support in the planning, installation, and initiation of new equipment and systems
- Initiate the development or updates of project-specific protocols and operating instructions
- Provide technical direction to fellow engineering personnel, maintenance technicians, and supervisors
- Work with manufacturing and other functional groups on manufacturing regulatory compliance issues
- Provide analysis of plant manufacturing facility, process optimization and automation, validation planning, VIP identification and implementation, etc
Qualifications:
- 7 years Controls/Automation Engineer experience for Principal Level (3 for regular level)
- 7 years PLC Allen Bradley experience for Principal Level (3 for regular level)
- Practice and application of lean manufacturing
- Knowledge of control changes, QMS Systems, GMP documentation
- Work experience in manufacturing or high speed automation environment
- BS in Engineering Required
