Telecommunications Field Service Technician Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician Professional to join our team at our South Bend, IN location. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a rewarding team and contribute to the advancement of technology.
Job Details
- Contract Duration: 4-6 months with potential full-time conversion
- Rate: $20-$22/hour
- Work Schedule: 8-10 hours per day, Monday-Friday (occasionally Saturdays)
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret floor plans, drawings, specifications, and cut sheets
- Properly set up copper and fiber testers
- Perform system testing and troubleshooting as required
- Terminate, label, test, and troubleshoot optical fiber and copper installations
- Explain structured cabling systems including pathways, spaces, horizontal cabling, backbone copper, backbone fiber optic, cross- and inter-connections, and testing
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2-5 years' work experience in Structured Cabling or related industry/construction experience
- OSHA 10 certification required
- Fiber Optic Association CPCT and CFOT certifications preferred
Salary : $20 - $22
