Job Title: Injection Molding Process Technician (2nd Shift)
Job Location: Wolfeboro, NH
Shift Hours: 3:00pm to 11:30pm, Monday night through Saturday morning.
Job Overview: Our client is seeking a dedicated Injection Molding Process Technician for the 3rd shift to oversee and optimize machine operations. The successful candidate will ensure production runs smoothly by adhering to process standards, maintaining efficiency, and documenting any necessary changes to maintain product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Setup & Maintenance:
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of injection molding machines, tooling, and related processes.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on machines, injection molding screw assemblies, molds, and auxiliary equipment
- Process Optimization:
- Collaborate with engineering to refine and troubleshoot processes, tooling, and new products.
- Drive continuous improvements in setup times, scrap reduction, and production throughput.
Quality Assurance:
- Conduct mold verification, mold changes, and job setups.
- Regularly monitor and troubleshoot injection molding processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Review setup sheets and process parameters to ensure product quality.
Production Support:
- Verify that production floor operations align with the production schedule.
- Diagnose and resolve issues during setup and production runs.
- Monitor and maintain the performance of molds, machinery, and auxiliary equipment.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all process control checks align with established standards.
- Prepare equipment repair work orders and propose improvements to mold performance.
- Document any changes in the production process and obtain necessary approvals.
Process Adherence:
- Ensure machines are running within the accepted process parameters.
- Secure authorization from the Shift Lead/Manager for any process deviations, and ensure parts are held for QA until changes are validated by process engineers.
Additional Duties:
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management to support production and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in injection molding or a similar manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, particularly during off-hours.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and maintenance practices
