What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Security Operations Engineer position at Swoon?
Swoon is actively seeking a Lead Security Operations (SecOps) Engineer to join the team in Camden, NJ. – Relocation is available!
US Citizen or Permanent Resident/Green Card Holder are required – (Sponsorship and C2C is NOT available at this time or in the future)
What your day-to-day look like?
- Responsible for the expansion and maintenance of our threat detection and incident response toolset
- Deploy, configure, and manage Microsoft Sentinel SIEM for enterprise-wide security event monitoring
- Helps create fine-tune, and maintain Kusto Query Language (KQL) Queries for advanced threat hunting and alert tuning
- Implement and manage Microsoft Defender for Cloud to monitor and secure Azure workloads
What’s Required?
- Expertise in MS Sentinel SIEM, including log ingesting, KQL queries and Automation
- Hands on experience with MS Defender for Endpoint, Identity, Office 365, and Cloud
- Strong knowledge of Windows security architecture, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Defender settings
- Experience leading, coaching, training, and mentoring junior engineers
- Bachelors Degree or at least 4-6 years of experience in Security Operations (SecOps) or SOC
- Preferred Certifications – Microsoft Security Operations Analyst (SC-200) or Microsoft Azure Security Technologies (AZ-500)

Direct-Hire / Full-Time Role – NO Contract
Location – Camden, NJ - Relocation is available!
Hybrid Role – 3 days a week on-site (1st 90 days are 5 days a week during training period)
Salary - $125,000 - $140,000 plus bonus
