What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Test Lead position at Swoon?
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead QA Tester with expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining test automation frameworks, ensuring the quality of software releases, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance testing efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform requirements analysis, author functional test cases, and execute test cases based on software requirements.
- Apply expertise in testing tools and automation testing to improve software quality and efficiency.
- Recommend the scope of work for automation testing, ensuring test plans are in place for effective automation execution.
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated scripts, troubleshoot issues and coordinate updates with Test Analysts as needed.
- Lead defect management, including logging and reporting defects for resolution.
- Oversee testing efforts for client transformation initiatives and application portfolios.
- Manage test planning, communication, metrics, and status reporting, including risk identification and issue escalation.
- Obtain client approval for all deliverables according to defined acceptance criteria.
- Prepare test summary reports for each software release targeted for production.
- Coordinate testing activities with onshore and offshore team members as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 5-10 years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
- Strong knowledge of Guidewire PolicyCenter (Required).
- Guidewire Cloud Certification (Preferred).
- Proficiency in automation testing tools and frameworks.
- Experience with defect management tools and test management methodologies.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with onshore/offshore teams.
