We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analyses. They will also develop, implement, and manage EHS programs, policies, and procedures, including hazardous waste storage, emergency response, and safety compliance programs.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DoD, DHS, and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analyses.
- Develop, implement, and manage EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee hazardous waste storage, emergency response, and safety compliance programs.
- Perform facility inspections, maintain EHS logs and documentation, and prepare reports.
- Provide EHS training, certification programs, and promote incident prevention initiatives.
- Support and drive cultural change to prioritize safety and health in the workplace.
- Lead employee safety committee activities and Behavior-Based Safety Programs.
- Collaborate with employees, management, customers, and regulatory agencies to maintain a proactive safety culture.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment (explosives/energetics/hazardous materials exposure or aerospace/defense industry highly preferred).
- Thorough knowledge of safety and environmental regulations (OSHA, EPA, DoD, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing environments and cultural change management.
- Fluent in English, with the ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance.
- Innovative problem-solving skills and attention to detail in regulatory compliance.
