What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Performance and Failover Tester position at Swoon?
Swoon is actively seeking a Sr. Performance and Failover Tester to join the team!
What your day-to-day look like?
- Planning, design, and execution of performance, failover tests and producing reports
- Identifying performance bottlenecks, testing the system resiliency, and reporting the risks , understanding failover strategies, disaster recovery plans and high availability solutions
- Design and develop performance test scripts and scenarios; monitor system behavior during performance, load, stress, and failover tests and ensure system meet recovery time objectives
- Conduct failover tests by simulations of hardware, software, and network failures
- Design and develop skills using JMeter and LoadRunner
What’s Required?
- Experience using JMeter, Selenium, SpiraTest and LoadRunner
- Understanding of AWS or Azure platforms to run performance and failover tests
- Experience in running automated performance tests via CI/CD pipelines and application monitoring /observability building dashboards, identifying and establishing SLAs, logging and tracing
- Familiar with containerization including Docker or Kubernetes
- Bachelors Degree required
- 3 years of experience in Performance/Failover testing with a knowledge of Disaster recovery concepts

Salary - $85,000 - $110,000 plus 10% annual bonus
