As a Housing Subsidy Coordinator for Swope Health's Services Behavioral Health department, you will be apart of a team of caregivers to provide care for the people who need it the most. The Housing Assistance Program Processor provides a variety of direct and indirect services to individuals receiving Housing Assistance Program Vouchers through the Missouri Department of Mental Health. The Housing Processor is responsible for completion and tracking of documents including lease agreements, housing vouchers, and payment invoices. The Housing Processor is also responsible for completion of housing inspections.

Successful Candidates with have:

  • Tracking of all documentation for voucher recipient and landlord
  • Accurate record keeping of each tenant file in compliance with Department of Mental Health Standards
  • Verification of monthly payments that are accurate and in compliance with Department of Mental Health grant regulations
  • Management and tracking of housing resources to benefit voucher recipients
  • Completion of annual housing inspection and recertification for each voucher recipient to remain in their housing unit
  • Act as a liaison for landlords and advocate for tenants when landlord/tenant issues arise
  • Filing of monthly invoices and reports to the Department of Mental Health for payment
  • Complete data entry into the Homeless Management Information System in compliance with grant requirements
  • Verify tenant income and calculate gross rent at program entry and if any income or rent fee changes occur
  • Collaborate with community partners, Swope Health programs, and Department of Mental Health to ensure the best outcomes for housing voucher recipients
  • Refer voucher recipients to support services for employment, housing readiness, mental health, substance use, and other benefits they may qualify to receive
  • Outreach voucher recipients on a regular basis to ensure they are in compliance with the regulations of the grant for their housing voucher
  • Interpret and implement any grant policies or legal documents in relation to the grant
  • Compose professional documents including letters and memorandums
  • Work independently to manage priorities and meet all deadlines
  • Assess data and generate reports to support future housing initiatives
  • Participant in Performance Improvement activities related to Swope Health Quality Initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.

Education/Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field; preferred

  • 1-2 years experience with individuals receiving psychiatric and/or substance use treatment services
  • Knowledge of Department of Mental Health and HUD housing program requirements and guidelines
  • Understanding of HMIS (Homeless Management Information System) and similar databases that provide service related information
  • Vaild Driver’s License and reliable transportation
  • Ability to write clearly and distinctly
  • Knowledge of community resources
  • Proficient with use of electronic health records, Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, and Powerpoint
