Pharmacy Technician

As a Pharmacy Technician for Swope Health Services, you will work with a team that services the people in our community that need it the most. The Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist with day to day activities in the pharmacy. They provide excellent customer service when assisting patients with dropping off or picking up prescriptions. If you have a passion for service and helping others. This is the role for you.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under the direct supervision of the pharmacist
• Works all assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to support the team's ability to safely and efficiently fill and dispense patient prescriptions
• Assists with third-party insurance billing and troubleshooting
• Accepts new written prescription orders and telephoned refill requests
• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
• Receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies and wholesaler medication orders
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
• Must have the ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism
• Works with the pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements

Contributes to the effective operation of the department

Successful Candidates Will Have :

Hours : Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm

Compensation : $18 / hour - $23 / hour
