The Swope Family of Dealerships is looking for a hardworking, organized, and enthusiastic individual to join the Swope Family as a Title Clerk & Contract Specialist for our Swope Hyundai location. This individual will be responsible for processing vehicle deals properly. Knowledge of state tax and title requirements is essential but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for all Deal Postings to Accounting
• Responsible for all Inventory Postings to Accounting (New and Used Inventory acquisitions)
• Verifying documents such as bill of sale, VTR's, odometer statements, power of attorney, trade titles, and payoffs for discrepancies
• Maintaining Electronic Deal Jackets
• Send out financing contracts to lenders
• Process trade titles, out of state inspections, and transfer titles as needed
• Processing wholesale trade transactions including intercompany transfers
• Processes Dealer Trade Transactions 
• Processing Outside Purchase Transactions
• Will need to be comfortable contacting banks about lien releases
• Going to the clerk's office for drop offs and pickups
• Coordinates with Corporate Accounting Office on transactions resulting from Deal Postings
• Coordinates with Payroll Office for Commission related questions
• Assisting with the implementation of Kentucky's electronic titling system when applicable
• Performs Administrative back up and other duties as required
• Maintains a professional, calm manner when negotiating with difficult or upset customers.
• Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
• Maintains a cooperative, courteous, team focused attitude. 

Requirements

• This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. 
• One to two years automotive title experience required. Five to Ten years preferred. 
• An understanding of basic accounting principles preferred.
• The position requires office skills including personal computer, Microsoft products (Word for Windows, Excel, and Outlook), and the ability to accurately operate other office equipment
• Notary designation is preferred but not required
• Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work in a high performance, fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to adapt to and work effectively within a constantly changing environment.
• Excellent customer service and problem solving skills.
• Occasional Saturdays may be required (1/2 day)

Salary : $19 - $24
