Job Summary:
The Degree Audit Coordinator’s primary duties are utilizing the degree audit system, processing degree checks, and graduation applications to ensure graduation requirements are met.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the department in a manner that professionally, cordially, and efficiently assists students, faculty, staff, and visitors
- Responsible for aspects of the degree audit system including programming and maintaining the Degree Audit Requirements File. This requires continuous review and evaluation to ensure the system is functioning accurately.
- Process degree audits as assigned, making appropriate notations for students and advisors to ensure graduation requirements are met. Requires timely communication with students and advisors to resolve degree requirement issues that may arise.
- Assist the Office of Academic Records in faculty and student related questions and problem-resolution situations.
- Develop a working knowledge of Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education (OSRHE) and SWOSU policies as it relates to the Office of Academic Records.
- Assist current students taking courses at other colleges/universities with questions about course transferability by evaluating course descriptions or using the Course Equivalency Tables as produced by the OSRHE.
- Communicate with Department Chairs regarding course equivalencies and entering them, when appropriate, in the Colleague system.
- Assist with transcript processes, as needed. Post appropriate statements to the transcript as it relates to degree audits and graduation requirements including Computer Proficiency, Admission to Teacher Education and Novice Foreign Language Proficiency.
- Assist department administrative assistants with Dean/Chair menus in the Colleague system as it relates to various processes and reports under the purview of the Office of Academic Records.
