Objectives Of This Role
- Provide support to engineering design teams in selecting, evaluating and documenting compliance to specification of electrical, electronic, electromechanical and electro-optical parts.
- Deepen knowledge of NASA EEE-INST-002 through daily and monthly responsibilities.
- Oversee part procurement and work with manufacturers to ensure compliance with engineering requirements and business constraints.
- Provide support to production teams in application of elected parts during initial kitting and through build process.
- Conduct presentations on project status and compliance to customers.
- Making recommendations regarding appropriate components, researching and suggesting alternatives and documenting decisions, with support from senior engineering.
- Oversee procurement process and work with manufacturers.
- Work closely with electrical design engineers to help them select appropriate parts given technical, schedule and cost constraints.
- Requires a Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering degree.
- 0-3 years: Parts/component engineering with working knowledge of NASA EEE-INST-002 preferred.
- 0-3 years: EEE parts procurement management experience is preferred.
- A valid/clear driver's license is required.
